Frequently Asked Questions

What is therapy?

Therapy is intentional time that you are carving out for yourself. It’s a place where you can think out loud without judgment, with a trained professional who’ll help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We’ll look at what’s working for you and what you’ve outgrown, and we’ll collaborate to find patterns, unearth insights, practice skills, and find new ways of approaching things.

What does a therapy session cost?

  • 15 minute phone consultation - free

  • $120 - 50 minute individual session

  • $120 - 50 minute couples session

I offer reduced rates upon request and need. Please reach out and we can discuss what is right for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

Do you take insurance?

I am private pay only and do not accept insurance, but I can provide you with a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance. Please be aware that it is up to your insurance provider whether or not they will reimburse you for services.

Are you in-person or virtual?

Both! If you’re in Austin and want to come in during my office hours, we can meet in person. Otherwise, telehealth appointments are conducted over video using secure, HIPAA-compliant software. You can attend from anywhere you have privacy and a strong internet connection as long as you are physically located in Texas during our session.

What do I do if I’m in crisis?

I am not a crisis therapist and not available 24/7.
